Musicians of Note is a project to honor musicians who are extremely talented, masters of their craft, professional performers and supportive of other musicians. A musician is chosen each year by suggestions from the previous Musicians of Note.

The Musician of Note Concert as a celebration of excellence was started by Regina AaMacha, founder of Tampa Bay Music News, when she and other members of Tampa Bay Musicians co-op selected Shaun Hopper as the first Musician of Note.
